A fun-filled day with wonderful gifts and surprises. Christmas was very different for me this year. We didn't put our Christmas tree up until Christmas eve (due to space problems with a new couch) and I didn't even help put it up. Then I helped play Santa and I NEVER do that. Christmas morning we woke up and Carolyn and her family showed up and we opened presents. I have to admit, although Christmas isn't about the gifts, the gifts I received made it the best. I received wonderful "unexpected" gifts. The only bummer was Jared spent Christmas morning with his girlfriend and her kids. It's the first Christmas ever that my brother wasn't there. Then we had a delicious breakfast of Belgian waffles with strawberries and whip cream, lil' smokies and bacon. MMMmmmmm. We spent the afternoon playing with gifts and talking. Jared showed up about 1:15 with Suzy and then it was Christmas morning all over again. We exchanged gifts with him, and talked some more. Then Ronda came over...Christmas morning again. By the way, I got a sweatshirt...just in case you didn't notice. We ate at about 2:30 our regular Christmas day meal consisting of a huge meat and cheese deli tray with croissants, veggies, chips, crackers, and pumpkin pie. Then we vegged around a little longer, then took Kim to Carolyn's salon to do her hair. (really to get her ready for her Christmas surprise) So we dye and cut her hair, get her all ready and bring her home....to Darren her boyfriend from Florida whom we secretly purchased a plane ticket for and he flew in on Christmas Day. It was fun and we talked and played games until midnight. Just a little prayer for Amanda. She spent her Christmas day in the ER. She fainted and was having contractions. We pray the baby will be ok....a little niece to fit into the brood of boys in the family.
